The programming of CNC movements creates a structure and blueprints for machines to follow when using CAM or CAD software. Rather than manually adjusting every millimeter of movement in advance, the CNC allows machinists to create a coding diagram that will let a machine work in auto pilot until the objective is complete. The machine can be a milling machine, lathe, router, welder, grinder, laser or waterjet cutter, sheet metal stamping machine, robot, or many others.
